martin
j40m acoustic guitar This
rare and beautiful instrument is in excellent, played,
condition. The sound is wonderful; fully balanced mids and
highs and nice full bass. This instrument was used
professionally, gently, and comes with a hard-shell case.
You can hear this guitar on the live Uncle Bonsai release
"Myn Ynd Wymyn." SPECIFICATIONS: The Martin J-40M is a dreadnaught guitar with a solid spruce
top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, 14/20 fret
bound ebony fingerboard with abalone hexagon inlay, ebony
bridge with white abalone dot pins, rosewood peghead veneer,
and gold tuners. In addition, this guitar has been fitted
with a custom-made bone nut and saddle. It
has a Martin Thinline bridge pickup and a small internal
microphone. These are wired to a stereo jack so that one can
be used for a tuner and one for amplification. (Anyone who's
heard Uncle Bonsai, Electric Bonsai Band, or Mel Cooleys in
concert knows how good this microphone sounds.) (A
little side history: this guitar was chosen out over 40
different guitars. I auditioned each guitar and picked this
one with Christine Lavin and David Van Ronk as my listening
audience...we ALL picked this one!) If
you're in the Seattle area, I'd be happy to show you this
guitar. If you're not, it comes with a 7-day guarantee. If
you're not thrilled, return it for a full refund, minus the
shipping costs. Item:
